Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro were presented in China at the end of December 2021, but the versions dedicated to the global market have not yet shown up. Today there is news in this regard, given that the two smartphones have passed the FCC certification, providing us with some indications and confirmation.
Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro pass from the FCC with MIUI 13 on board
Xiaomi has yet to confirm a launch period for the global versions of its new Android smartphones, but it seems that the debut is approaching. Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro have in fact passed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for certification, revealing and confirming some of the technical specifications.
Xiaomi 12, model number 2201123G, has been certified in the three variants with 8-128 GB, 8-256 GB and 12-256 GB. The same goes for the Pro model, number 2201122G, which starts from 8-128 GB to gets to 12-256 GB for the most demanding. Both already make MIUI 13 available, so they should be marketed with Android 12 from the start (even if it is not a certainty, given what happened with the Redmi Note 11).
Among other specifications, we know that Xiaomi 12 has a 6.28-inch AMOLED display at Full-HD + resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate, triple rear camera with 50 MP Sony IMX766 main sensor with OIS, 13 MP ultra-wide-angle ( 123 °) and 5 MP telemacro and 4500 mAh battery (with fast charging at 67 W).
For Xiaomi 12 Pro we have instead a 6.73-inch 2K 120 Hz AMOLED display (curved with HDR10 + and Dolby Vision certification), triple rear camera with 50 MP Sony IMX707 sensor, 50 MP ultra-wide-angle and 50 MP telephones with 2X optical zoom and 4600 mAh battery.
For both, we then have a 32 MP front camera and of course the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. All the specifications leaked with the certification (not many) seem to confirm those officialized in China, so the global versions may not have differences at the level this time. of the technical datasheet.
