Redmi Note 10 and 10 Pro: MIUI 13 in Europe

The month of January is ending: this means the debut of the MIUI 13 Global, starting with the strange duo Redmi Note 10 and 10 Pro. I call it “strange” because it was conceivable that the roll-out started from the top of the range such as the Xiaomi 11 series.

This is not the case, even if it is only a matter of time before the roll-out starts for all the devices of the first wave. As anticipated by Xiaomi itself, the announcement of MIUI 13 in the west is around the corner, and this is demonstrated by the fact that some updates have already started.

Here, then, both Redmi Note 10 and 10 Pro update to MIUI 13 Global, with the respective builds V13.0.3.0.SKGMIXM and V13.0.2.0.SKFMIXM. It should come as no surprise that the two smartphones are already receiving the update, as they are officially part of the list of the first smartphones to have it.

The building code contains the letter “S”, so in both cases, the update also includes Android 12. If you are curious, there is a vademecum of mine in which I explain the meaning of letters like “SKGMIXM”. Furthermore, I recommend my video review to find out what is new in MIUI 13.

Good news for owners of Redmi Note 10 and 10 Pro, therefore, even if not all that glitters is gold. Both updates are yes for the MIUI 13 Global but are in the Stable Beta phase, that is, officially intended for Mi Pilots. This means that the OTA roll-out is only coming to the Beta Testers of the two models: if no noteworthy bugs are detected, then the same ROM will be released publicly. As a result, it may take some time for the public release to be released to everyone.

Not only Global: after a few days, MIUI 13 is also appearing in Europe, for the moment only for Redmi Note 10 Pro. The roll-out build is V13.0.3.0.SKFEUXM, therefore, is the MIUI 13 EEA, but also in this case it is a Stable Beta update. if you really don’t want to wait, you can download and install the update manually.

There is also the Xiaomi.eu ROM | Update 01/02

While waiting for the MIUI 13 update to be released to all owners of Redmi Note 10 and 10 Pro, there is the Xiaomi.eu ROMs. The European developer team has released the porting of the updates, therefore with Google services, Italian language and so on. However, these are custom ROMs, therefore they can only be installed after unlocking the bootloader and TWRP.
