Vivo X80 Pro+ will be one of the fastest to recharge

After enjoying X70 Global, the time is approaching when we will discover the Vivo X80 family, including the Pro and Pro+ models. It seems that Vivo wants to continue with the strategy of previous generations, with three models designed for all tastes (and all budgets, above all). Design and display

Talking about design is very premature since we still don’t have any images that reveal the features of the Vivo X80 series. Meanwhile, the leaks confirm the maintenance of the IP68 certification.

We know that the non plus ultra model, ie Vivo X80 Pro+, should sport a 6.78 ″ Quad HD + screen, apparently the same as the Vivo X70 Pro+. To change would be the type of panel, that is the latest Samsung Eh, thus being able to enjoy the LTPO 2.0 technology. This would mean the possibility of varying the refresh rate from a minimum of 1 Hz to a maximum of 120 Hz, with lower power consumption.

Hardware

The chipset used in the Vivo X80 family should vary depending on the model involved. The tactic should be similar to that of the last generation, so with MediaTek solutions for the smaller models and Qualcomm for the top ones.

Vivo has confirmed that one of the models will have as its heart the new Dimensity 9000, 4nm TSMC with ARMv9 CPU up to 3.05 GHz and Mali-G710 MP10 GPU. Then there would be Vivo X80 Pro+, whose SoC would instead be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, again at 4 nm but produced by Samsung, with CPU up to 3 GHz and Adreno 730 GPU.

We do not yet know what amperages the batteries of the three models will have, but the leaks speak of fast charging at 80W for all three. In addition, there are rumors of the presence of support for wireless charging at 50W.

Camera

For the photographic sector of the Vivo X80 series, we will have the return of the famous Gimbal Camera, which has now become an iconic element of the series. The 50 MP (1/1.3 ″) main sensor will have 5-axis VIS stabilization support, a step up from the current generation.

According to rumors, Vivo X70 Pro + would have a 50 + 48 + 50 + 50 MP quad camera, driven by an optically stabilized f/1.3 main sensor. Alongside it would be a Sony IMX598 wide-angle lens and a pair of Samsung JN1 telephoto lenses with 2x / 5x optical zoom with OIS on 5x. Finally, the selfie camera would also be a 50 MP sensor.

In all of this, the multimedia department would be managed live V1, the proprietary image processor that we have already known previously.

Vivo X80, X80 Pro and X80 Pro + – Price and release

Details are still missing regarding the possible price of the series while a recent leak reveals a little more about the release: the smartphone triptych should debut in late January or early February 2022, also in the international version. To fix the shot, however, is Digital Chat Station, which tells us that the series will arrive instead in March 2022, which is not far away but more in line with the usual plans of the company.

As for the price, the leaks reveal the alleged prices in China for Vivo X80 Pro+: 759€ for the 12/256 GB, 829€  for the 12/512 GB and 967€ for 12 GB/1 TB.
