Reactions will soon also be available on WhatsApp. With this, Facebook completes this service with modern functions. However, Telegram was once again a little faster with the implementation.
Finally, WhatsApp is also introducing so-called reactions. They allow you to respond to a message with an emoji without having to compose and send a completely new reply.

For some received messages, such a simple reaction can easily be enough to reply to the other chat partner. Now there are new screenshots of the reactions on WhatsApp.
WhatsApp is finally introducing reactions to messages
WABetaInfo once again has screenshots from Android and iOS for us. This also suggests that development on both platforms is progressing quite well. Reactions could be available for the first time in an upcoming beta update for WhatsApp. Like all other messages, they are also completely encrypted.
For reactions, you tap on the respective message and choose from predefined emojis. As a rule, these represent the usual emotions such as love, joy, sadness, etc. It is very likely not possible in WhatsApp to change and individualize the emojis for this selection.
