Windows 11 22H1 update leaks

Software detective Albacore just shared on Twitter three yet-to-be-announced Windows 11 settings and feature changes, covering sustainability, focus assistant, and the notification experience.

The first is the novel and interesting “System → Sustainability” setting page. The screenshots exposed in the early days did not show too many details, and it is expected to be gradually added in the future.

Above the screenshot, we can see five chiseled leaves with “Conserve Energy” written on the subtitle. Albacore claims these hollow leaves are filled to indicate the “eco-score” of the user’s device. According to Tom’s Hardware’s vision, the best color should be green.

Below the Eco score, there is also a toggle button to enable users to enable the green settings recommended by Microsoft with one click. More careful friends, you can also go into the “Advanced Eco” option, but there are only computer sleep/screen settings options here.

As for whether PC manufacturers will put multiple stickers on the product packaging (or the C side of the computer case/notebook) after this feature officially takes effect, it is currently unknown.

Next is the renamed “Focus Assist,” which leaked screenshots suggest is likely to be shortened to the word “Focus.” Interestingly, this option is arranged in the Settings menu of the Clock app, and users can schedule time periods to focus on work through Outlook.

Then came notifications improvements, which appear to be in system settings, making it easier to find and adjust options (like the newly introduced notification priority setting).

Earlier, Albacore also found some interesting changes in Windows 11’s “Personalization → Background” settings. From the screenshots, it seems that Microsoft is planning to use the customizable wallpaper sticker feature.

Although there are no examples yet, veteran players of modern smartphones, social media, and rich messaging applications should not be unfamiliar with the new experiences that are coming. The tweet notes that in most settings, changing the wallpaper doesn’t affect the presence of stickers.

Interested friends can pay attention to the first Windows 11 major update (22H1) in 2022, which is scheduled to arrive later this month. Expected changes include a redesigned media player, an updated Notepad app, taskbar improvements, and various tweaks and fixes.
