Google is very early this year, the new Android 13 is starting immediately as part of the Developer Preview. That comes early and surprisingly, Google has released the first Android 13 developer preview.
With this, Google gets the ball rolling. The final version of Android 13 will probably be released next summer. As in previous years, there will first be a preview for developers and then a public beta version for Pixel users.

At this point, Google mentions a few of the fundamental innovations, but not yet all of the new features of the new Android version. Little by little, more information will emerge in the coming weeks as the usual pundits dissect the source code and uncover clues.
