Fast Pair is a solution so that your smartphone can be connected to Bluetooth accessories in a particularly convenient and easy way. It is enough to activate the other nearby device for it to appear on the smartphone and connect with the push of a button.

Fast Pair isn’t exclusive to Google hardware but plans to open it up even more in the coming months. This is what experts report who have looked at new details in Android 13.

Fast Pair will soon even be integrated directly into the Android public source code (AOSP) – probably from Android 13 onwards. To date, Fast Pair is only available in connection with Google Play services. With the release, it could happen that Fast Pair is then also available on Amazon’s Android devices, for example.

A few weeks ago, Google announced the extensive expansion of Fast Pair to other operating systems. At the time, however, he did not mention any technical details.

In addition to Chrome OS and Android TV OS, the new operating systems will probably even include Windows, which is known to have no Google services on board. Exciting to see that Google “releases” its solution.
