Google Pixel 6/Pro: No equal treatment with the latest update

Google surprisingly released a second update for the Pixel 6 smartphones in February. It is only 10 megabytes in size and may not be relevant to most users. But it again shows a vulnerability that is present in the latest Google devices when you want to update them. The update is a bit harder to get on the Pixel 6 Pro.

Some time ago it was said that as a user you only have to press the button for “Check updates” in order to be able to request the latest update for installation immediately. This also worked very well on the Pixel phones for a while. Since the December update disaster, that doesn’t appear to be the case on the Pixel 6 models.

Google Pixel 6 (Pro): Updates are still not being delivered as before

Even with the second February update, I am not able to speed up the deployment of the update by pressing a button. Nothing is happening on the Pixel 6 Pro while I was offered the update directly on the Pixel 6. You probably still don’t have everything under control. That’s why the punctual updates are not quite true.

Maybe I won’t even get the second February update on the 7 Pro before the March update drops on March 7th in less than two weeks?
