Albacore shares a demo video of Windows 11’s Desktop Stickers feature

Earlier this month, we learned about some of the new Windows 11 features coming to the Dev Channel in addition to Builds 22557 and 22563. Among them is a particularly interesting improvement, the Desktop Sticker feature that Microsoft is developing. Now, Insider tester Albacore has shared another demo video on Twitter.

It is reported that this demo is running on a PC with the Windows 11 Dev Channel installed. First of all, we already know that this feature can be enabled by ‘adding stickers’ in the personalization settings, and it can also be invoked through the ‘desktop right-click’ contextual menu.

Second, Albacore points out – even if the desktop wallpaper is changed, the sticker functionality is not affected (it remains the same). Also by default, this feature is disabled until the user manually enables it (and can be turned off at any time if not needed).

[Supplement] As the next major version update of Windows 11, Microsoft is internally exploring the introduction of more new features and improved support for Sun Valley 2. For example, the new “sticker editor” tool introduced in the preview version allows users to customize the relevant stickers that can be placed above the desktop background – an instant messaging/social media app user should not be unfamiliar with this.

In Windows 11 Build 22563, Insider testers can already experience the function of “changing the wallpaper without affecting the front sticker”. Interested friends can search for “Sticker” in the Dev Channel and choose to “Place it on the desktop background”. You can then resize the sticker or use the editor for further customization.

While it’s unclear when the “Desktop Stickers” will be rolled out to everyone, it’s safe to say that the feature will be available in the Microsoft Store with the “Sticker Editor” so that users can use emoji like emoji. Easy access.
