After introducing the Edge Bar for the desktop Edge browser, Microsoft is now bringing the feature to the Android Edge browser. In the latest test, the Edge browser on Android can access Bing’s Daily Image, Quick Search and Trending Tips Widgets. However, users need to use Microsoft Launcher on their mobile phones to achieve the best experience.
Enable Bing Search and Daily Image Widgets on the Android Edge browser as follows
- Open the Edge browser
- Visit the edge://flags page
- Search for “Widget” and enable the following experimental flags
- Bing Search Widget Promote
- Bing Daily Image Search Widget
- Bing Trending Search Widget
After completing the above steps, when you open a new tab or visit a Bing or random page, you may be prompted to add “Quick Search” or “Widget with daily image” to your home screen. Allow both, and next, you’ll be asked to allow Microsoft Launcher to create a widget and allow access to the data it displays.
