FromSoftware updated its guidelines for the Ayrden Circle on March 1, with the fifth section of the guidelines on monetization reads: However, as a general rule, direct redemption from viewers via donations and super chats, etc. is prohibited. Monetize it in the form of money. This FromSoftware rule means streamers can’t get tips for live streaming Elden Ring, and this only applies to Japan.
Under this rule, many popular Japanese streamers had to appeal to viewers not to tip while live-streaming Elden Ring, but since Twitch doesn’t turn off tipping, viewers may be inadvertently violating this rule regulation, which led some Japanese Twitch streamers to move to the YouTube platform for live streaming.
