Xiaomi seems to be developing an Arm notebook. A Xiaomi Book S 12.4 benchmark has recently appeared on Geekbench, which is equipped with Qualcomm’s previous generation Snapdragon 8cx Gen2.
As shown in the picture above, the model of this notebook is TIMI TM2133, the serial number is very high, and it should be a recent product. The recently exposed Redmi Book Pro 15 2022 with i7-12650H is codenamed TIMI TM2111.
Judging from the name, this notebook will be equipped with a 12.4-inch screen. In terms of configuration, Xiaomi Book S is equipped with Snapdragon 8cx Gen2, equipped with 8GB of memory, and the running score is very low, which is difficult to compare with Intel/AMD mobile processors in the past two years.
Qualcomm has launched the Snapdragon 8cx Gen3, which has improved performance compared to the 8cx Gen2. If Xiaomi really wants to make an Arm notebook, it should eventually choose to carry the Snapdragon 8cx Gen3.
At present, Lenovo officially released the first ThinkPad notebook equipped with an Arm processor, the model is ThinkPad X13s Gen 1, equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8cx Gen3 processor. The Lenovo ThinkPad X13s went on sale in May, starting at $1,100.
