Elden Ring: Modder solves the stuttering problem of the PC version

The user Github soupstream has published a small mod (plus a fix, actually) for the PC version of Elden Ring that fixes stuttering problems on many configurations, those that FromSoftware has not yet been able to solve.

The little fix is called EldenRingStutterFix and you can download it from here

As the description tells us, it’s a change that solves the stuttering problem caused by DirectX 12. It must be said that everything is still in an experimental phase and has no official support. So it may happen that on some configurations it does not solve anything. The author is however following the project with great attention, producing continuous updates (currently it is at version 1.0.2 )

Installing EldenRingStutterFix is very easy. After downloading it, you need to move the d3d12.dll file to the game folder (eg C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ ELDEN RING \ Game), then launch the game with the EAC disabled.

To disable the EAC you need to create a file called steam_appid.txt with the text 1245620 inside and put it in the game folder. Then run the eldenring.exe file. To uninstall the fix, delete the d2d12.dll file.
