Twitter recently introduced the ability to search for direct messages. The Android app then got the feature in May last year. The problem with the search so far was that you couldn’t search for content, only for names. So you could only filter which groups or chats, for example, a friend named Oliver was involved in.
Twitter is now rolling out a major update to search within the news. You are finally able to search for content and you can also filter by person or group. This makes the search for affected messages much faster. The only question is why you didn’t build the function the same way.
