Skate 4 in playtest on origin: Official presentation coming soon?

We know of the existence of a new chapter in the Skate series and that Electronic Arts has been working on it since 2020. The publisher has never shown concrete content on the project, however, things could soon change according to the latest sightings in the meanders of Origin, the PC platform managed by the company.

Sources with whom the usual Tom Henderson came in contact said that the game is in its Quality Assurance phase, a novelty detected through the Origin API. Under the name “Project Dingo”, the title has now begun internal playtesting via Origin.

Origin also revealed that the game is simply being referred to as “Skate” by Electronic Arts, which could indicate that the title will be a reboot of the series, rather than a sequel called Skate 4. Rumors have also circulated since the game’s announcement. the title was free-to-play, but sources familiar with the project have branded these claims as mere speculation.

According to what was leaked through Henderson, it seems that the new Skate will allow you to play in cross-play, a feature that EA is launching more and more often in its biggest franchises (including F1 2022, according to the advances of the same leaker).

In short, clues suggest the imminent presentation of the new chapter of Skate. The reveal will not happen at EA Play, however, since the publisher’s showcase was officially canceled this year.
