Following the debut of Oculus Move on the Meta Quest 2 headset, the developers of the giant of Mark Zuckerberg dedicated to the world of virtual reality are preparing an important update dedicated to the video recording options inside the VR headset.
Talking about it on Twitter with the content creator Nathie (otherwise known as Nathaniel de Jong) was the Product Manager of Meta Clorama Dorvilias, who followed a thread published several days ago by Nathie himself concerning the quality of the recording of videos directly to the Meta Quest 2 interior.
It all originates from a simple observation: Nathie hopes that the new Playstation VR2 headset has better recording tools than Quest 2, given that after so many months the content creators of the VR world still do not have the possibility to stream or record their activities. smoothly or in high quality.

Today, in fact, the native option only allows you to reach a maximum of 30 fps with a 1: 1 aspect ratio; the more experienced will be able to use third-party software on a PC via cable link, but this is by no means an immediate and convenient solution for everyone.
When Nathie asked for more information, Clorama then replied that Meta has actually been working for several months on the design of new features to be implemented on Meta Quest 2 “within the next few weeks”, with a high probability of stable launch in the next version of the Oculus operating system expected for April / May 2022.
There are, however, no actual details on the features that the new registration system will propose to users, content creators and others. Meanwhile, analysts from the VR world speak of a boom in virtual reality in 2022 with Meta Quest 2.
