Apex Legends comes out today on PS5 and Xbox Series X, here what changes

The Apex Legends Warriors Collection event starts today, scheduled from March 29 to April 12, but there’s more because again starting today EA and Respawn will make available the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S versions of the famous Battle Royale.

Respawn confirms 4K and 60Hz support on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, HDR is also fully supported on all three platforms while some improvements such as high resolution for shadows and a higher level of detail are only available on PS5 and Xbox Series X but not on the small Xbox Series S:

  • 4K output – PS5 and Xbox Series X
  • 60Hz Gameplay – PS5 and Xbox Series X | S
  • HDR – PS5 and Xbox Series X | S
  • Higher resolution shadow maps – PS5 and Xbox Series X
  • Greater LOD distances – PS5 and Xbox Series X

A series of technical updates are also planned in the future to enable support for 120 Hz on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, full support for DualSense (adaptive triggers and haptic feedback), improvements to the graphics and the audio sector.
