Apex Legends official hints that the Storm Point map is about to undergo a major change

Apex Legends developer Respawn Studios has hinted at the game’s next update with a very brief animation. This time around, it’s probably the biggest map in the game, Storm Point. This is the only map in the game that is not currently affected, and based on past experience, it will be destroyed.

The animation shows only a computer screen displaying a warning that “a deep-sea seismic event has been detected”. 3D scans of the seafloor show multiple tectonic plates and large waves. This means that deep-sea earthquakes could cause huge tsunamis that eventually flood part or all of the map.

On Twitter, Respawn Studios said: “Maybe it’s just an equipment failure.” But no one among the players believed this statement. A previous large Apex leak included an early concept of a “Storm Spot” where many parts of the “Storm Spot” were submerged. Meanwhile, data miners Shrugtal and SomebodyWhoLeaks uncovered some in-game resources that hint at map changes in Season 13.

Shrugtal discovered a new map hotspot, where players can create and control IMC’s ghost warrior robots, and also hinted that the theme of Season 13 will be related to IMC, which also proves that the new legend “Newcastle” that has been leaked maybe Brother from Bangalore, also a former IMC soldier.

SomebodyWhoLeaks has discovered a new resource of giant beast bones in the map, which may suggest that these wrecks will be washed to the ground by giant waves.
