Elon Musk proposed changing Twitter to Titter

New Twitter majority shareholder and Tesla CEO Elon Musk spent a busy weekend posting a series of tweets about future Twitter reforms, including recommendations for Twitter Blue subscription services to cut prices, ban ads and allow users to pay with Dogecoin, and transform Twitter headquarters into a homeless shelter.

In one of the tweets, Musk launched another “poll” asking his more than 80 million followers whether they should “remove the w in Twitter,” changing the English name of Twitter from Twitter to titter (with the meaning of smirk, sneaky laugh).

Interestingly, musk gave only two affirmative answers in this survey for people to choose from: “yes” or “of course it is.” Many fans of musk began to discuss what “Titter” meant, and posted a large number of memes under musk’s tweets.

But there are also fans who criticize Musk, arguing that he should consider something more serious as a Twitter director. A user with an account named “Esra Öz” left a message: “Are you bored? Why would you want to put a hand at the word @twitter? If you want to do better from now on, give privilege to reliable and accurate news!”
