[Fixed] YouTube confirmed that the platform is experiencing issues with global reach

YouTube confirmed today (April 12 local time) that the site is experiencing a variety of issues that affect users around the world. After many users reported error messages when trying to watch videos or noticed that various site elements were unavailable — such as sidebar navigation or settings menus — and other things, the company acknowledged that there was a problem with the service.

Some users also find that they can’t log in to their YouTube account or switch between profiles. Others said they couldn’t cast YouTube on a TV or use the app on a game console.

when trying to play a video, although there are no other connection issues, some people will still see an error saying “no internet connection”.

In a tweet, YouTube said it was aware of the issues and was working to fix them. The company also notes that these issues are not limited to a geographic region and are global, but also occur “across devices.”

The pages YouTube links to in its tweets include a list of the most critical issues affecting users, but that’s not a complete list.

On Twitter, the company also acknowledged that these issues could prevent users from browsing YouTube Studio or streaming from its live TV service YouTube TV. Users who tried to stream YouTube TV via Chromecast and Google TV said they were logged out and couldn’t log in again.

YouTube’s Twitter account also responded to users who reported that their subscriptions and videos had disappeared.

So far, YouTube hasn’t been completely paralyzed, and users haven’t experienced the same set of issues.

YouTube hasn’t explained what caused the problems with its services, but that’s often related to underlying technologies, such as cloud services. The company said that if there are further updates, they will announce them on its support website: https://support.google.com/youtube/thread/159624032.
