The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S has been postponed by CD Projekt RED, which is a message addressed to its users explained the reasons for this choice.
The PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of The Witcher 3 had already been postponed to 2022, to be precise to the second quarter, but apparently, the Polish team will not be able to meet these deadlines due to a change in development.
“We have decided that our in-house team will do the remaining work for the next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt,” reads CD Projekt RED’s post. “We are evaluating the extent of the commitment and for this reason, we had to postpone the release of the update.”

At present there is no new launch period, the Polish studio wrote that the postponement is “until further notice”, adding that it will notify users about any news as soon as possible, thanking them for their understanding.
As we know, the next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be available in the form of a free upgrade for current owners of the game on PS4 and Xbox One.
