Tesla’s Berlin Gigafactory aims to produce 1,000 Model Ys a week, which is now 35% complete

A new report from Germany shows that the Tesla Berlin gigafactory has only started for a month, but now can produce 350 Model Y cars per week.

Although at the time of the factory opening, Tesla did not issue any guidance on expected production. But now, a new report from Germany’s Automobilwoche claims that Tesla aims to increase production to 1,000 units per week by the end of this month.

It is reported that the Model Y, which is currently produced in the Berlin Gigafactory, is equipped with a 2170 battery. Musk has previously said that Tesla aims to switch to its new structural battery pack architecture powered by its new 4680 battery “within a few months.”

foreign media reports pointed out that this goal will be achieved near the end of the year, after all, the production line needs to be stopped for several weeks.
