Xbox Game Pass will soon unveil the games coming in the second half of April 2022, but in the meantime, we already have confirmation of those who will leave the catalog at the beginning of next month, presumably on May 1, 2022, appeared in the appropriate section of the official app.
So let’s see the games destined to come out of the Xbox Game Pass catalog on May 1, 2022, which are the same for both Xbox and PC:
- F1 2019
- Streets of Rage 4
- Outlast 2
- Cricket 19
In the case of F1 2019 and Cricket 19, this is the classic rotation of titles in favor of the most recent ones, given that they are already present in Xbox Game Pass, respectively, F1 2021 and Cricket 22, both belonging to the EA Play catalog within Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, so this is not a particularly shocking loss.
The most important exit from the scene is probably Streets of Rage 4, the scrolling fighting game that has recovered and relaunched the historic Sega series through an interesting operation of recovery of the classic forms with a completely new design, but always designed in 2D, by the DotEmu team. For the rest, Outlast 2 is a good first-person horror, so in both cases the advice is to deepen the games in question before they are removed from the catalog, or possibly buy them directly.
In the meantime, we are waiting for the announcement of the games coming during the second half of April 2021, which should happen this week and probably during tomorrow, Tuesday, April 19, 2022, according to the standard timing of these communications from Microsoft.
