Updates for PS5 controllers now also possible via Windows

Previously, you could only update the DualSense controller for the PlayStation 5 via the PS5 itself. A few days ago, however, it was already hinted that this will soon be possible via the PC and that is exactly what Sony announced today.

If you have connected the controller to Windows, you can now also update the firmware via Windows 11 and with selected Windows 10 computers. The details and the matching Windows app can be found on the official sony website.

But there’s one thing I’m hoping for so slowly: updates without cables. It’s really annoying when you have to connect all DualSense controllers to the PS5 via cable every time they get an update. This is also possible wirelessly.
