Sega Removes Sonic Games from Digital Stores

Sega is known, among other things, for the small, blue hedgehog, which goes by the name Sonic. In a press release, the company announces that it will remove the digital versions of the games Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic CD from the stores on May 20.

However, there are exceptions, so Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and 2 will continue to be available via Sega Ages on the Switch and the second part will also be playable via Sega Megadrive via Nintendo Switch Online.

Why the whole thing? Sega certainly wants to push sales of the Sonic Origins coming up in June. Because there will be the mentioned games. The title is already available for pre-order.
