OnePlus 10 Ultra would adopt the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus SoC

The leaker Yogesh Brar said via Twitter that the OnePlus 10 Ultra is entering the development test phase and will adopt the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chipset not yet announced by Qualcomm.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus SoC is purportedly built by TSMC and should offer a noticeable increase in performance and efficiency over the standard version of the chipset.

In the post, the whistleblower also stated that the OnePlus 10 Ultra will focus on the cameras, although there are no further details on that. The OnePlus 10 Pro turned out to be rather underwhelming when it comes to ultrawide camera and zoom quality, so OnePlus could focus on improving these aspects in the alleged OnePlus 10 Ultra.

The leaker further stated that the Ultra model will launch in August or September and that OnePlus is also working on a smartphone-based on the alleged Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. Between the alleged OnePlus 10 Ultra and the rumors regarding new budget smartphones, it seems that the company has many devices in the pipeline.
