NEW FEATURES LIKE ON IOS

In addition, even on Android devices comes the ability to listen to files and documents when the phone screen is locked. It’s a recently introduced option on Office for iOS and will now be rolled out to Google’s operating system as well.

The new Office release also introduces other features already available for Apple phones. Specifically, they are about new options on PDFs. In fact, in the toolbar, you can choose between “Scan a PDF”, “Images in PDF” or “Documents in PDF”.

TEST PHASE FOR OFFICE INSIDER

The new version of Office for Android will be released soon, but Microsoft has not yet released an official release date. At the moment the software is being tested by users enrolled in the Office Insider program, who are evaluating its stability. It shouldn’t take long, therefore, for it to hit the market.

Meanwhile, Microsoft recently added new features to Office for iOS as well. New features include file tabs, the ability to quickly customize fields in Excel, text prediction for accelerated writing, and a new editing mode in OneDrive.
