Sonos is certainly busy at the moment. As is well known, at least one new soundbar, the Sonos Ray, is about to be presented, and Sonos Voice will also have its own voice assistant. However, they are currently tinkering with the software, because the error devil crept in with version 14.6.
The error can express itself differently, non-functioning surround loudspeakers or reverberation of the surround loudspeakers were mentioned. Sonos first acknowledged the issues and promised an update.
As I’ve been observing the topic, I’ve noticed that the Sonos employee in the forum has now partly rowed back – and thus told numerous users that their errors had nothing to do with software 14.6 after all.
According to this, no increase in surround audio errors was found, but the specific problem of a user who also has a surround setup. Let’s see how the whole thing turns out. I can already imagine that there will soon be an update that addresses problems – there are also those affected among our readers and there are also many annoyed people in Reddit threads.
