Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 will continue to support 25W charging power

In the coming 2 or 3 months, Samsung is expected to release its new foldable flagship phone, the successor to the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip series. However, information on the two expected foldable phones has now started to leak. Recently, we saw major certifications for these devices, revealing some basic specs.

This morning, two of Samsung’s new devices have been included in China’s 3C (or CCC) certification with 25W fast charging. And from the arrangement of their models, we can confirm that they belong to the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4.

The model number of the Galaxy Z Fold4 is “SM-F9360”, while the Galaxy Z Flip4 is “SM-F7210”. In addition, the model number also indicates that these models belong to the Chinese version.

As previously mentioned, both models will support a maximum charging power of 25W and will use Samsung’s old 25W charger with model number “EP-TA800”. It’s worth mentioning that the company has been using this charger since the launch of the Galaxy Note10 series. In addition to the 25W charging mode, the charger supports 15W (5V/3A) and 7.5W-25W (3.3-11V/2.25A) charging.

The Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4 are expected to be equipped with 4400mAh and 3400mAh batteries respectively. Both devices are likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8th Gen Plus chipset, which Qualcomm has yet to announce.

Other specs like the display, design, cameras and many related things are not yet known. However, we can expect this information to come to light soon. There are also rumors that Samsung will release these new models in August.

The information comes from China’s 3C certification database, which leaked the model numbers of the Z Flip4 and Z Fold4 — SM-F7210 and SM-F9360, and the charger they will use: the old EP-TA800. In China, Samsung ships the phone with a charger, unlike the rest of the world.

The Galaxy Z Fold4 is expected to have the same 4400mAh battery as its predecessor, and may not have a dedicated S Pen slot built in. It’s also expected to carry over the three cameras that the Galaxy S22 Ultra did well — a 10-megapixel 3x zoom, a 12-megapixel ultrawide, and a 108-megapixel main camera.
