Google Assistant for Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is coming this summer

Google and Samsung have officially been working together on Wear OS for a year, but the Google Assistant has been a long time coming. After there had been initial leaks and Samsung itself had already released moving images in the form of a video, the expected announcement is finally coming. The new version of the “Next Gen Assistant” for Wear OS is coming this summer – also on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4. An assumption on our part has thus been confirmed.

Google Assistant: Next Gen for Wear OS is coming this summer

Google actually wanted or had to wait until its own Google Pixel Watch is official before making it available. That was done for the Google I/O and almost at the same time a post went online in the Samsung blog. It affirms support for Wear OS, the planned expansion of features and also announces Google Assistant for Wear OS 3 and thus also for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4.

This summer, I’m excited to share that Galaxy Watch4 users will be able to download Google Assistant to their device, featuring faster and more natural voice interactions, enabling quick answers and on-the-go help.

A good year after the market launch of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, one of the most important Google apps is coming to the watch. Hopefully, this will be good!
