Google is planning three new Pixel smartphones for this year and is building on a great success. The company still does not give any exact figures for its own sales. But at Google I/O 2022 it was repeatedly emphasized that the Pixel 6 smartphones have been very successful so far. According to their own statements, the predecessor’s Pixel 4, as well as Pixel 4 XL and Pixel 5, could be clearly surpassed.
Google Pixel is becoming more and more successful
Google has once again spoken of devices that have sold faster than any other pixel smartphone. Whatever “fast” means. This could have meant that the two Pixel 6 models were already able to top the sales figures of the aforementioned predecessors together in about seven months. Pixel 4/4XL and Pixel 5 sold less than Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro!
In any case, this also underlines the very weak sales figures for Pixel devices before the Pixel 6 series. With the new Pixel 6a, Google should be able to set new records again. The new mid-range smartphone will cost 459 euros. And in the fall, the Pixel 7 smartphones will follow, which will of course be connected to the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
