Android 12 continues to expand to new smartphones and tablets: today it’s finally up to Samsung Galaxy Tab S6, which tasted it last March in Germany, and to the couple ASUS ZenFone 7 and ASUS ZenFone 7 Pro, with the manufacturer managing to fulfill the promise of an update by the first half of 2022. Let’s find out what’s new.
New update Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 (SM-T860 and SM-T865)
Almost two months after the start of distribution starting from Germany, the Italian owners of Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 can rejoice and update their tablet to Android 12 with One UI 4.1. The rollout concerns both the Wi-Fi version (SM-T860) and the 4G LTE version (SM-T865) with the firmware T860XXU4DVD6 and T865XXU4DVD6 respectively.
Among the novelties, in addition to the security patches of March 2022, we have the new customization possibilities (through styles, themes and the color palette further improved with One UI 4.1), the privacy improvements (indicators of use of microphone and camera, approximate location, Privacy Dashboard and clipboard protection), the renewal of many pre-installed apps (including Samsung keyboard), new widgets, photo features and even more advanced photo editors, Emoji AR and more.
New updates ASUS ZenFone 7 and ASUS ZenFone 7 Pro
ASUS ZenFone 7 (ZS670KS) and ASUS ZenFone 7 Pro (ZS671KS) are also updated to Android 12, perfectly in line with the roadmap released by the Taiwanese manufacturer last October.
The version in phased distribution is 31.0210.0210.250 and obviously includes several new features. These include interface changes, Quick Settings, notification pull-down, volume panel, privacy improvements (such as microphone and camera usage indicators, approximate location and Privacy Dashboard) and a general overhaul system (even in pre-installed apps like Gallery, Calculator, File Manager, and so on).
