DICE: Battlefield 2042 Season 1 coming in early June

DICE plans to launch the first season of Battlefield 2042 next week. DICE announced the news on Wednesday, local time, along with the Battlefield 2042 patch 4.1 changelogs.

“Battlefield 2042 Season 1 is currently scheduled to launch in early June,” DICE said.

The first season was originally scheduled to launch in early 2022 but was pushed back to this summer so DICE could focus on fixing the base game after the disastrous launch.

Before the first season was postponed last November, DICE said the first season would feature new experts, a new Battle Pass and Battlefield Portal content. For Battlefield 2042’s first year of live service, DICE has said there will be four seasons, each with a new Battle Pass, Experts, new maps and other content.

The Battlefield 2042 4.1 updates is coming today (May 19th), and this update focuses on further fixes and overall improvements to the game, updating the Total War push map, and making some balance adjustments to weapons and specialists.

In EA’s most recent earnings report, EA CEO Andrew Wilson confirmed EA’s long-term support for Battlefield 2042.
