Sony’s London studio is creating an instant-service game fantasy theme for PS5

Like it or not, Sony is betting on instant-service games, a strategy is made clear when it bought Bungie. Sony also said they will have 10 live-service games available by 2026, including titles from third-party partners as well as titles from Sony’s own studios.

Surprisingly, the Sony London studio that developed Blood and Truth for PS VR is working on an instant service game (fantasy setting) for PS5, not PSVR2. According to the company’s job advertisement, Sony’s London studio is looking for a narrative design lead to create rich contexts and narratives through an on-demand model.

The job advertisement mentions that candidates “must have a passion for making and playing magic games, and excellent gameplay must be supported by a wonderful fantasy world.” Elsewhere, it points to a story campaign, side quests, “setting a story that lasts for years” and “creating rich, story-driven characters.”
