One can only hope that Google’s first Android foldable doesn’t mutate into a second Google Pixel Watch. What is meant by this is the extremely long waiting time for these gadgets. Because: Four years ago, there was “solid information” from really good sources that a Pixel Watch was coming from Google. But the Google smartwatch never came, and it took another two and a half years for more leaks to appear.
Google Pixel Watch is a long time coming
If that wasn’t crazy enough, the Pixel Watch reappeared in May 2021 after three years, but again not in an official form. It took another year for Google to at least officially announce the Pixel Watch. A good six months still have to pass before we can actually buy Google’s first Pixel Watch.
And we sincerely hope that this doesn’t happen to us with other new Google hardware. There’s the Google Pixel Tablet, whose market launch is definitely a whole year away from us. Then there’s the first foldable from Google, which we’ve been reporting on for more than a year.
Google Pixel Notepad has been buzzing through the rumor mill for a long time
The supposed Google Pixel Notepad hasn’t made it past the rumor mill so far. There are already hints directly in the source code from Google, but nothing more so far. It would be extremely annoying if this project also dragged on for many more years.
Foldables are in demand, at least if your name is Samsung. For brands like Google, such devices should primarily only cost money. Hopefully that’s not a reason to delay any longer. We’re hoping for a first look at Google’s classic October event.
