iPadOS 16: Can windows be resized?

Apple developer conference WWDC (from June 6th) is just around the corner and of course, there are all sorts of rumors about what Apple will make possible. Smart developer Steve Troughton-Smith is thinking out loud about things Apple could have dreamed up for iPadOS 16 right now. He found additions to the WebKit code that may indicate a new “multitasking mode” might be introduced — including a way to adjust app window sizes.

For Troughton-Smith, it looks like the “multitasking mode” can change, allowing apps to switch in and out. He could imagine something like Windows 10’s “tablet mode,” which users can toggle at any time to restructure the user interface for touch vs. mouse and keyboard. Let’s see if this will increase with iPadOS 16 – or if the wish is the father of the thought. I could imagine that that would be something for the Pro models.

More rumors? macOS 13 could get a new version of Time Machine that uses iCloud Drive. Apple is also rumored to be introducing new AirPort solutions towards the end of the year. That would actually be a thing.
