Xiaomi Pad 6 Series: four models coming, here are the possible specifications

The new tablet family will consist of four different models featuring the following model numbers: L81, L81A, L82 and L83. The range will consist of the Xiaomi Pad 6, intended for the mid-range of the market, and the Pad 6 Pro and Pro 5G which will occupy the high-end. To complete the offer there will also be a Redmi-branded tablet that could arrive on the global market with the Xiaomi brand or with the POCO brand (as has already happened with several Redmi smartphones).

The first details on the technical sector anticipate the presence of a display with a 144 Hz LTPO panel. It should also be noted that tablets should support fast charging up to 120 W (at least in the Pro variants) recorded a clear step forward compared to the Pad 5 which stops at 67 W. On the software side, however, we will find an updated version of the MIUI for Pad, based on Android 12, with optimizations designed to simplify the use of the large tablet display.

At the moment, it is not clear what the diagonal of the panel of the new Xiaomi Pad 6 will be. The four variants may have differences in size as well as in specifications. Furthermore, Xiaomi should offer its tablets with two options regarding the SoC and with the possibility to choose, at least in China, between a MediaTek and a Qualcomm SoC.

As for the Pro models, the SoC choice could be between the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus and the MediaTek Dimensity 9000. To enrich the technical sector of tablets, there should be space for various accessories, such as a keyboard cover and a pen, useful for increasing productivity.

The debut in a few months

The new Xiaomi Pad 6 range will arrive on the market over the next few months. The first rumors, in fact, anticipate a launch of Xiaomi’s new Android tablets for the third quarter of 2022, probably during the month of August for the Chinese market. Subsequently, the new tablets could also arrive in Europe and, in particular, in Italy, by the end of the year. We will know more, for sure, in the coming weeks.
