Sony had anticipated that the latest State of Play would also and above all be focused on titles compatible with the new viewer for virtual reality and among the innovations shown we also find the update that will introduce VR support for Resident Evil Village.
Capcom has in fact revealed during the State of Play the existence of a version of the game that will fully support PlayStation VR2 and its new controllers. As we can see in the announcement trailer of this mode, it will be possible to relive the last adventure starring Ethan Winters from a different perspective and among the main changes compared to the ‘classic’ version we find the aiming system, which will support the peripherals created by Sony and will allow players to aim with the controllers as if they were actually holding a weapon.
At the moment it is not clear when the virtual reality version of Resident Evil Village will arrive and if this will be a PlayStation 5 exclusive. Sony and Capcom have not even specified whether this feature will be added via a free update or if it will be a new one. horror edition to be purchased separately.
