Gotham Knights: WB Montreal’s game has nothing to do with the TV show of the same name

While we await news on Gotham Knights, which according to Geoff Keighley will arrive during the Summer Game Fest show set for June 9, the guys from Warner Bros. Montreal have deemed it appropriate to make a necessary clarification.

Through their social channels, they shared a Message from the Bell that clarifies the following: “The Gotham Knights game and the TV show of the same name are separate projects that are not connected in any way. We can’t wait for you to enjoy it. Gotham Knights action. ”

In spite of the strange case of homonymy, therefore, the Gotham Knights video game developed by Warner Bros. Montreal and the Gotham Knights television series produced by The CW have nothing in common. The two projects, despite the similar incipit (both the video game and the series take hold after Batman’s death), are headed on completely different tracks. We are amazed, however, at how Warner Bros. has given its approval to two separate projects of the same name, undoubtedly causing some confusion.

The Gotham Knights video game, we recall, will be launched on October 25 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S. Contrary to what was initially announced, it will not arrive on PS4 and Xbox One.
