iPhone 14 Pro supports AOD screen display

Apple officially released the iOS 16 system today. Although the update content is very good, in the developer preview version Beta, it mentioned the “on-screen display” function that everyone is concerned about. And the feature is exclusive to the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

According to previous exposures, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will launch an upgraded LTPO screen, which supports a refresh rate as low as 1Hz, and is expected to achieve longer battery life or off-screen display.

The report notes that in iOS 16, three new frameworks have been added related to the management of the iPhone’s display backlight, which is the key to enabling this “always-on display.” All three of the frameworks were found to use some aspects of iOS 16, such as the lock screen.

In the latest software update, Apple engineers can also test the feature on unsupported models, such as the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, before the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max launch.

If you switch to the iPhone 13 Pro for a 120Hz high refresh rate, will you still switch to the iPhone 14 Pro for an off-screen display?
