This is what fixes the June security update on the Samsung Galaxy

A couple of weeks ago the Samsung team kicked off the release of the security update with the patches of June 2022 but up to now, the Korean giant has not revealed for which vulnerabilities a solution has been implemented with this update.

Finally, in the past few hours, the Samsung team has decided that the time has come to provide some details about it and has published the changelog relating to the update that brings with it the security patches of June 2022.

What’s new in the June security update for Samsung

According to what is learned, with this month’s update the Korean giant’s developer team introduces the resolution for 65 privacy and security vulnerabilities: 5 of these vulnerabilities are critical, 14 are high, and 13 are moderate level.

Of the aforementioned vulnerabilities, 48 are those that have been resolved by the Google developer team while the credit for the fix of the others goes to the Korean giant (and are related to its customized interface).

Among the most dangerous vulnerabilities fixed are those related to accessing SIM card data, remote code execution, improper access controls, MAC address information and access to the camera. Essentially, until this update is installed, hackers may be able to remotely shut down the phone software.

In addition, vulnerabilities related to Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Samsung accounts are also resolved with the update of June 2022. Several smartphones of the Korean giant have already received this update and many others will receive it in the next few days (or within a few weeks). You can find the June update bulletin on the Samsung website.
