Microsoft teamed up with Samsung to upgrade cloud services to play Xbox without a console

Microsoft recently held a media conference called “What’s Next for Gaming”. At the conference, Microsoft announced plans for the future of XGP cloud gaming, including adding Xbox services to Samsung smart TVs and launching cloud games in Argentina and New Zealand. Let XGP members use cloud services to play games they purchased, etc.

Xbox app added to Samsung 2022 smart TVs

Microsoft has announced a partnership with Samsung to bring the Xbox program to Samsung’s 2022 smart TVs, meaning players can play hundreds of cloud-enabled games without an Xbox console. The Xbox program on Samsung is similar to any streaming app used on a TV, and players can play with cloud gaming seamlessly and smoothly. At the same time, non-XGP players can play Fortnite for free through cloud gaming without any membership.

The service will be officially launched on the Samsung Game Center on June 30, and new users who have never joined XGP will experience cloud gaming services for only $1 in the first month.

Bring cloud gaming services to more players

To meet the cloud gaming needs of more players, the Xbox cloud gaming service will launch in Argentina and New Zealand on June 9. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members in Argentina and New Zealand can play hundreds of cloud-enabled games on Android phones and tablets, iOS devices, Windows PCs, Xbox, and more. Gamers in Argentina and New Zealand can play Fortnite for free via Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Ultimate members can play non-XGP games through cloud services

Microsoft plans to launch a feature later this year that will allow XGP Ultimate members to play games they already own or buy but have not yet added to the XGP game library, via the cloud. More information will be announced at the Xbox & Bethesda conference on June 13.
