Google Pixel: Problems with widgets after June update

The first users are reporting issues with widgets on their home screen after updating their Google Pixel with the recent June update. It says the widgets stay blank after users watch videos on full screen, for example. It takes a while before you can see the content of the widgets again.

The problem also occurs on the current Pixel 6 smartphones and should therefore not be due to the system performance of the devices. It’s probably more of a bug that’s either in the widget system or in the pixel launcher.

There are already reports in the Google forum. There it says that widgets are constantly reloading and apps do not remain in memory. The first other users confirm the problems. However, it is unclear whether the problems are really widespread.

“After the update, if I exit an application (mostly games or media apps) by swiping to the home screen, the widgets on the home screen are reloaded.”

On Android 13 Beta 3 I cannot understand these problems.
