Who would have seriously believed that? Google announced investments and today we see the results. I have to admit, I didn’t really believe in the previous announcements from Google. But now the tide has turned. We can see that Google is pouring a brutal amount of money and know-how into the Google Pixel. The first successes are visible, as is the growing portfolio.
Wear OS: Google bought Samsung
By partnering with Samsung for Wear OS, Google has laid a foundation for reviving Android for smartwatches. The result after less than a year is clearly visible. Wear OS has grown a lot and so has Samsung. In the coming autumn, Google itself will follow suit, the Pixel Watch, which has been developed for four years, will be available for purchase.

Tablets are important again
It is almost the same for tablets with Android. Google almost completely forgot about this category. In the last year the change, one surprised with the entertainment space. Later came Android 12L with many improvements for big displays, now Google updates more than 20 own Android apps for tablets and new hardware is coming too.
In 2023, the Pixel Tablet represents the culmination of the latest commitment. Here’s what we know today about the Google Pixel Tablet:

Google is planning new Pixel Buds and some new smartphones
New Pixel Buds Pro is announced for summer. Also, the Pixel 6a is equipped with the high-end chip of the Pixel 6 smartphones. So Google is serious and wants to be able to offer a closed ecosystem and alternatives to other OEMs on many levels. The basis is the pixel phones, in autumn a new generation comes with Pixel 7.
