Pixel 6a latest hands-on video: Design, fingerprint unlock and comparison with 6 Pro

It’s only a matter of time before someone seems to have bought a Pixel 6a from a party selling mid-range phones in Malaysia ahead of the July 28 launch event and got a full hands-on. In a hands-on video titled “Google Pixel 6a Arrives in Malaysia!”, Fazli Halbor took just under 11 minutes to show off Google’s upcoming A-series device.

This is the third out-of-the-box check we’ve seen since the Pixel 6a was unveiled at I/O 2022 on May 11. This includes high-resolution viewing of the back of the box. In addition, you can also see the comparison with the Pixel 6 Pro this time, it is obvious that the Camera Bar is not that high and hardly protrudes from the rear case.

The phone’s 3D thermoformed composite backplate and tactile alloy frame can be seen in the video. The back is very glossy plastic, which makes it extremely susceptible to fingerprints, and the way it blends in with the bezel looks pretty thick in the video.
