Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro: will there be a disappointment in 2022?

Samsung indirectly confirmed a few days ago that we will see a Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro in 2022. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 will remain, but there will probably no longer be a Classic model, but a new Pro model.

Last week we learned that the new smartwatch will probably be revealed on August 10th. But there is also bad news because Samsung has removed the rotating bezel from the Classic version and not installed it in the Pro model.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro: Edge too thick?

But that doesn’t mean that the edge will be nice and thin. According to a good source of Samsung reports, the rim will be very thick. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is said to be very far from an Apple Watch Series 7 (soon to be 8).

Of the Samsung products planned for late summer/autumn, the Galaxy Watch 5 series is said to be the “ugliest”. The design is worse than before and according to the source, Samsung has forgotten that the design is important in a smartwatch.

I’m curious about the first leaks because I’m expecting that in the next few days. After all, the announcement is less than two months away, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we see the design in June.

But if that’s true, I think it’s a shame. My hope was that Samsung would increase the pressure on Apple with the move to Wear OS. So far it has worked, but perhaps the new generation will not be able to build on that.
