Chrome’s new download window will support file dragging

Google is developing a new download UI for the Chrome browser. The popup sits next to the address bar and displays a larger progress bar, time remaining, and other information, and looks similar to the Edge browser popup.

With the latest Canary update, Chrome’s download UI has a new change – support for dragging and dropping files. According to new findings posted on Reddit by u/Leopeva64-2, Google’s latest Chrome Canary allows users to drag and drop downloaded files outside of the pop-up window. Drag and drop to the desktop.

The old bottom bar of the Chrome browser supports file dragging, but later it was changed to a pop-up window in the upper right corner, but it disappeared. This improvement is a return to the old function.

You can download Chrome Canary to try it yourself, but you need to enable the download-bubble experimental option. In addition, the Microsoft Edge browser currently supports this feature, and users who have not tried it can remember this little trick.
