Another Google device will receive Fuchsia operating system

Fuchsia is coming to the next Google device. The Nest Hub Max is slowly being rolled out after the first generation Nest Hub has been equipped. Fuchsia’s progress is very insidious and slow. After introducing one of the first in-house Nest devices, Google didn’t do much. In addition, it quickly became clear that Fuchsia was just a new basis on these devices, although the bottom line is that the user doesn’t really notice much of it.

Google gets fuchsia faster on the Nest Hub Max

Now Google is expanding the range of devices that have Fuchsia as the basic operating system under the hood. Now it’s the turn of the Nest Hub Max. It remains a risk to change the operating system of a device that is actively used. But you dare again. Initially in the preview program, 9to5Google can report exclusively these days.

This latest update doesn’t bring any significant changes to the functionality of Nest Hub Max, Google added in a statement. They also feel quite confident and want to get the Fuchsia rollout off the ground faster than they did last year. But that was it for information that is important and known.

In the future there is still Nest Hub (2nd Gen) open, also the latest assistant display will most likely be updated to the Fuchsia operating system in the future.

Fuchsia: Future role still unclear

Meanwhile, we don’t know if Google is going for Fuchsia or maybe Android for future new Nest Hub devices. There are indications that Android could play a more important role for these devices again. This is at least the case with the Pixel Tablet for 2023, which will also be an assistant display for our home thanks to the docking station.
