Front view of iPhone 14 Pro concept with off-screen display function revealed

The screen display function is already standard in the Android camp, and this function will finally be implemented on the iPhone. On June 28, according to Mark Gurman, like the Apple Watch, the iPhone 14 Pro can display weather, calendar, stocks, events and other information in the off-screen state.

To this end, Apple Hub has drawn relevant renderings. As shown in the figure, the front of the iPhone 14 Pro has a dual-hole screen with a higher screen ratio, and information such as time and weather can be seen in the closed screen state.

It is reported that the iPhone 14 Pro’s always-on display function can operate at lower brightness and lower refresh rate, thereby extending battery life. Previously, Apple introduced ProMotion on the iPhone 13 Pro, which can reduce the screen refresh rate to 1Hz.

It should be noted that the off-screen display is not a standard feature of the iPhone 14 series. Only the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will support it, and the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max are not supported for the time being.

In addition, it is rumored that the iPhone 14 Max may be named iPhone 14 Plus, and the new product will debut in September.
