iOS 16: How to remove saved Wi-Fi networks

iOS 16 has numerous new functions in its luggage. In addition to clever tools, such as the automatic cropping of images, you also bring innovations that make you think: Why not earlier?

For example, to manage a saved Wi-Fi network. So far it was not possible to delete the saved access data again, Apple is now improving this with iOS 16. It works as follows – the procedure is quite straightforward.

In the settings in the “WLAN” area, there is an “Edit” button in the right corner. Makes me realize once again that Apple iOS is still less optimized for the big screen (Yes, there is the one-handed mode – still.)

After clicking on the “Edit” button you will find a complete list of all known networks. This includes both password-protected and free Wi-Fi networks. You can access the Wi-Fi settings via the “i symbol”, which you otherwise only have access to with a direct connection. For example, there is the administration of the MAC address (keyword: private WLAN address).

There is also a red “minus” symbol on the left. You can use that to throw out all WiFi networks. As a result, the access data will also fall out of the iCloud keychain and your other Apple devices will no longer be connected to the deleted WLAN. You will be warned accordingly when you press the “Done” button.
